Here is the beast itself: the Lore Thread! It is not completely necessary that you read through everything, but please at least skim through the basics of it. Thank you!
(It's actually not that long ^-^)
The Island of Graecus is a mystery to the mortals. In fact, its not even on the map! Their eyes cannot perceive what happens here, oh, no they cannot. Even the ancient Greeks had a hard time, but they had a small idea of what it was. There were a select few that could see it, and they were thought to be as crazy as Socrates! They were even sentenced to death, but that's not important.
"I bet it was important to them." Now, now, don't go quoting Percy Jackson and his sassy attitude!
Anyway, from afar, the island doesn't look like much. Correction, its quite beautiful, but it looks ordinary. There's a large island and around it are many minor islands. But, don't be fooled. These islands contain canis. And not just any canis! Canis that seem to have mutated, or, at least, that's what the Greeks that saw it said.
The Greeks did not realize that the canis were actually a lot like the Greek heroes Hercules, Achilles, and the like. They were heroes, demigods, half-bloods, and all the other nicknames out there. They are the children of many gods, titans, and immortals. There are even minor immortals on the islands, one you would never had heard of.
Its not completely figured out which immortal has given which traits to its children, but lets go over major ones.
Poseidon's children, the Aquueris, are the masters of the sea. They can be often found swimming underwater, helping the sea life with their everyday problems. Some features that Aquueries have are:
✔ Webbed feet instead of paws
✔ Gills hidden in their cheeks
✔ Dorsal fins
✔ A dolphin-like tail
What judges an Aquueris's karma (read more here) is how it reacts to the sea life.
Zeus's children, the Zerpinus, are the masters of the sky. Some fly around with the birds with their magnificent wings while others smite the smaller animals in their way. Some features the Zerpinus have are:
✔ A tail in the form of a lightning bolt, much what a pikachu has
✔ Magnificent wings attached to the sides of the canis, looking much like those of an eagle
✔ Spikes extruding from the back and/or stomach, in the shape of bolts
What judges a Zerpinus's karma is how it interacts with storms and birds.
Hades's children, the Deathly, are the lords of the dead. They are often seen caring for unfortunate corpses and helping souls reach the underworld. Some features that Deathly have are:
✔ A wolf's skull attached to the canis's own head
✔ Rotting skin in different places, allowing to see the canis's bones inside (hence its name)
✔ Sometimes born with more than one head
What judges a Deathly is how it interacts with the dead and dying.
Of course, not every canis looks the same as their half siblings. Some have all features, while some have none. Some have mortal blood, while some have immortal, but can yet still die. Yes, this archipelago is mysterious indeed...
